Three bikes in particular. I’m trying to resist the allure, but I’m scared that a red Italian might fill the void left behind by the Volvos’ absence...
I’ve got a ninja 300 my neighbor will let me borrow to get back in the groove once I finally start riding *legally*... but I don’t think that will keep me entertained for long. I felt like I outgrew my o ld high-school 250 after about a month.

buy it!

I know nothing about Ducatis except for the fact that they look like a lot of fun!

I’ll take the bottom two and leave the SUV.

Buy a Scrambler and be satisfied with that. Don’t aspire for more.
Unless Dovizioso wins MotoGP instead of Lorenzo, in which case get the V4.

I like the Sc rambler, but not for $10k
![]() 03/11/2019 at 04:38 |

Poor enduro. Starts over $20k so it's not really in the running anyways but still....

It’s the Lamborghini Urus of motorcycles. I’m sure it rides great for an ADV (It’s not an enduro) but... yeah, it’s just not doing the job a D ucati should do.

Eh, I’ve only seen reviews, I can’t really t alk. But the M ultistrada En duro sure looks like an absolute blast offroad.
If I could just get straight M onster styling with more supermoto chops I think I’d have my dream bike...

Don’t count out the street triple, specifically the r. Triples sound gorgeous and really combine the best o f both inline 4s and twins IMHO.

How much for the V70 T5M?

They are very pretty.
I missed that the Volvo has gone.

I really like the hyperm otard
![]() 03/11/2019 at 08:37 |

The new hyper motard is sexy. One gripe i have and i dont know why Ducati did this is they went from a key system to open the seat to a allen key; only Ducati.

Those bottom 2 are on my list as well. I would love a Monster or Scrambler one day.

Multistrada for me
![]() 03/11/2019 at 10:59 |

I’d go with the Monster personally.

Cheap, I just have to find time to get it running. Still haven't addressed the misfire

Gotcha. I wish I had the time to fly out and drive home. And I wish I had a place to store yet another car...
![]() 03/11/2019 at 15:11 |

You and me both. The drive up from California really showed me how amazing these would be for commuting, but it was more of an I pulse buy than anything

Used monsters can be found cheap pretty easily. But they’re no fun. Nope. Uh uh. Not at all. You definitely don’t want one. That’s why I ONLY put 17k miles on in 2 years. And slow. Really it’s a completely useless bike. Obviously.

Meanwhile I’m discovering how shitty a 1983 Chevy Caprice Wagon can be... Or perhaps “rediscovering” is more accurate. I’m certainly not surprised by it’s current state.
I would say that the P80 V70 is one of the most comfortable cars I have driven. Easy to see out of, comfortable, fast if you want to make it fast and moderately safe too.

It weighs a claimed 527 lbs wet, that’s not a blast off road and good luck if you drop the thing and need to pick it up. For comparison, a Honda CRF450L weighs 289 lbs wet .
Get the Monster or the Hyper, you’ll have more fun.

Tell me they're unreliable. And useless on anything put perfectly smooth pavement. And no room for a passenger. PLEASE
![]() 03/11/2019 at 16:10 |

People say the enduro is an epic bike.. yeah, relatively heavy, but so are all the GS heavyweight bikes.. I think the duc is actually a bit lighter than the comparable KTM or BMW...
Really the only fault people find with it is it’s high price... A bit expensive for a bike that’s meant to be thrashed off road...
If I was gonna get a duc these days, I’d look at the desert sled... I hear they’re just too fun.
![]() 03/11/2019 at 16:14 |

Well, not yet. Drove the 850 300 miles this weekend, but it is up for sale. The V70... Still need to find time to get it running
![]() 03/11/2019 at 16:22 |

If only you were on the other coast
![]() 03/11/2019 at 16:31 |

Clearly, obviously, useless on dirt or two- up. I NEVER use it for such things!
It’s not great on dirt and gravel but it’ll get the job done. Camping with a passenger is doable and pretty comfortable. It’s had exactly one problem during my ownership. Dead battery. And it’s entirely possible I left the parking lights on by accident.
I commute in the cold and rain too. Multiple riding modes with different traction control and ABS levels help, but it's quite competent without them.

Wait, you have two Volvos? I missed a lot!
![]() 03/11/2019 at 17:02 |

Oh man. I want it.
What are your thoughts on the H ypermotard?
![]() 03/11/2019 at 17:03 |

Such a cool bike. There's a Ducati dealership 3 miles away that I'm going to have to visit
![]() 03/11/2019 at 17:05 |

Yep, I’d get rid of my 748 Bip in a heartbeat for a 2010+ Multi
![]() 03/11/2019 at 17:08 |

I wish there was a program where I could swap em out with whatever Ducati I was interested in at the moment
![]() 03/11/2019 at 17:37 |

Fuel range is too low. Non starter for me because of that. Never ridden one but I hear they're stupid fun.
![]() 03/11/2019 at 18:37 |

Yikes. 100 miles.
Guess I should schedule my skills test soon!

Doooo eeeet!

That’d be amazing.... Wake up, decide if you wanna go rip around the mountains on a sled, or destroy some roads with a V4.....
